Meet the Candidates: CMA President-Elect

Meet the Candidates: CMA President-Elect

Every year, the president of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is elected by members from a different province or territory based on a geographical rotation. This fall, it’s Newfoundland and Labrador’s turn to elect the president for 2026-27.

All CMA members are invited to meet the CMA president-elect candidates on Tues., Nov. 19 from 6-7 pm ET (7:30-8:30 pm NT). Facilitated by former CMA President Dr. Alika Lafontaine, this virtual session is an opportunity for candidates to talk about:

  • Their plan to support the CMA’s work;
  • Their priorities for health system change;
  • Key issues affecting the profession.
