10th Annual Dr. Jack Hand Golf Classic
On August 29, 2024, at the beautiful Bally Haly Golf Course in St. John’s NL, The Jack Hand Legacy Foundation will host the 10th Annual Dr. Jack Hand Classic.
Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tee off will be a shot gun start and will commence at 1:00 p.m. SHARP. There will be many great games and events throughout the day followed by a fantastic meal and presentation of prizes in the club house.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the Dr. Jack Hand Legacy Foundation. Â
The Jack Hand Legacy Foundation was established to commemorate and celebrate the life and work of Dr. Jack Hand. The Foundation was established to financially assist families in Newfoundland and Labrador who have children being treated for hematology or oncology diseases at the Janeway Child Health and Rehabilitation Centre. The Foundation helps to promote health in Newfoundland and Labrador by providing financial assistance for medical care, travel, accommodations, medication, medical equipment, health supplies and other related expenses to families receiving treatment.
Funds raised from the golf tournament will especially aid the Foundation in directly funding families with children requiring out of province treatment, children living in rural Newfoundland & Labrador communities coming to the Janeway for treatment, and assistance for prohibitively expensive prescription drugs.
