This template letter is available for members to download and share with relevant third‑party organizations (e.g. insurance companies or legal representatives) when responding to requests for medical reports with unrealistic timelines. Adapted for broad use, the letter is intended to help physicians set reasonable expectations while managing administrative workload alongside patient care. A brief companion letter from the NLMA is also attached and may be shared to provide additional context and organizational support. NLMA is also sharing this with the Insurance Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
