Request for Expression of Interest: Psychiatrists Supporting the Physician Care Network

Please see the letter below from NLMA Medical Director Dr. Kris Luscombe

Dear Colleagues:

The Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association (NLMA) invites psychiatrists to express their interest in supporting physician mental health through the Physician Care Network (PCN).

The PCN connects physicians with confidential care, including psychiatric consultation and treatment. Participation is flexible and whether you’re open to seeing one physician or several, your involvement can make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-time consultations or ongoing psychiatric care
• Collaborate with a peer network focused on physician wellness, with opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and shared learning
• Attend optional orientation sessions on topics such as NLMA services, physician-specific care, and CPSNL expectations

Why Join

• Be part of a community of practice
• Engage in work aligned with your clinical interests
• Help shape a supportive care model for your colleagues
• Honoraria for orientation meetings and PCN training

Interested?

Fill out the form linked below, or contact Jean Cook at [email protected] or (709) 702-6738 to learn more.

An information session will be hosted in the fall to provide further details and answer questions.

We look forward to hearing from you. Your expertise can make a difference.

Best,

Dr. Kris Luscombe
