EOI: Prescription Monitoring Program Advisory Committee and Consultants Committee
The NLMA is inviting members to submit expressions of interest to represent the NLMA on two committees related to the Prescription Monitoring Program (the Program). The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to advise the Minister on the ongoing development and operations of the Program. The terms of reference for the Advisory Committee are available here.
The Consultants Committee supports the ongoing administration and operations of the Program by providing retrospective drug utilization review of prescription data for the purposes of monitoring the prescribing, dispensing and utilization of monitored drugs, and identifying unusual and potentially inappropriate trends. The terms of reference for the Consultants Committee are available here.Â
For the Consultants Committee, an honoraria will be paid in accordance with the Centre for Health Information’s Guidelines on Honoraria for Clinicians. You can find these guidelines here. The NLMA will pay honoraria at established NLMA rates for the NLMA rep to the Advisory Committee.
