Compassion Cultivation Training

Compassion Cultivation Training

The Compassion Cultivation Training program (CCT) is an eight-step program designed to develop the qualities of compassion, empathy, and kindness for oneself and others. The training integrates traditional contemplative practices with contemporary psychology and scientific research on compassion. The program was developed by a team of contemplative scholars, clinical psychologists, and researchers at the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education at Stanford medical school.

CCT is offered on Zoom and includes:

  • Classes of two hours with didactic talks/lectures, discussions, interactive listening, and communication exercises to strengthen compassion.
  • Daily meditation practices to improve awareness.
  • At-home practices to shift learning into long-term habits.
  • A certificate will be provided to everyone who completes the course.

The next eight-week course begins Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. NT. For more information, and to register, visit the website BeCompassionateNL.ca.
