Boostrix Vaccine Recall

PHAC has advised that GSK, the manufacturer of Boostrix vaccine, has issued a voluntary recall of Boostrix vaccine in pre-filled syringe form with the lot number 2259Z.

This recall is effective immediately. The recall is a result of a few empty syringes identified on GSKs production line. Health care providers that have the impacted lot number are advised to:

Immediately quarantine the vaccine.
Return the vaccine in quarantine to the regional vaccine depot you received it from by Friday, October 14th. Cold chain does not need to be maintained.
