Notice of By-law Amendment

An amendment to the NLMA By-laws is required to update the Association’s membership classes to reflect the newly launched Atlantic Register license. Chapter 9 of the by-laws establishes the membership classes of the Association. The proposed amendment is the addition of a new subsection establishing Atlantic Register members as a group of non-voting members under Chapter 9.

The amended by-laws have been prepared by NLMA legal counsel in consultation with the NLMA Secretariat, and have been reviewed by the NLMA Board.

To assist members, this package includes the current by-law and the text of the proposed amendment, allowing a side-by-side comparison.

Members will be given the opportunity to vote at the Annual General Meeting on June 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. NT.

If you are unable to attend the AGM, you may complete and sign this Proxy Form for voting NLMA members to enable your vote at the Annual General Meeting in your absence.
