April 29, 2010 Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association President Dr. Brendan Lewis launched the NLMA’s fifth public information session to discuss the challenges facing Rheumatology patients in the province. Panelists for the information session were three of the province’s four adult Rheumatologists, including Dr. Sean Hamilton, Dr. Majed Khraishi and Dr. Proton Rahman. Rheumatology is a sub-specialty of Internal Medicine that specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases such as arthritis, lupus and other diseases of the joints, muscles and bones.
